The J.W. Truitt Log Cabin Association has been working hard to complete the historic 1840s dogtrot cabin located in Jenkins, Texas. The Texas Historic Commission has proclaimed this site a Texas Historic Archaeological Site and the cabin a Texas Historical Landmark. The Truitt cabin is a reminder of the founders of the Republic of Texas, the history of Red River and Morris Counties, and a testament to the strong will and determination that transcends from John Wingate Truitt to each of his descendants.

Unless instructed differently at the time of your donation, your contribution will be split 60% John Wingate Truitt Log Cabin Fund and 40% John Wingate Truitt Log Cabin Endowment Fund. Please email info@etcf.org if you have questions.
